Julia originally trained as a Holistic Therapist and worked for a number of years as a Swedish Massage Therapist, before retraining in clinical Sports Massage Therapy. Adding further qualifications and experience in Acupuncture, Athletic Strapping and Kinesio Taping over the last few years.
Qualified to work with injuries, Julia spent a challenging 2 years as a Sports Therapist for a semi professional football club before returning to private practice in early 2015 at a clinic in Basingstoke. She gained a good reputation there for ” fixing” ailing legs. Her time spent with the football club proved to be a useful experience.
Julia now works with clients who are involved in all forms of different sports, as well people wanting their aching muscles treated from driving, computer work or gardening etc. Julia feel that to be able to earn a living helping people to simply feel better, help to heal injury or improve sporting performance is a worthwhile pursuit. She loves working with people and enjoys the interaction and rapport built up with clients.
Julia has recently added Oriental Warm Bamboo Massage to her repertoire, as a move to return to holistic treatments. This, alongside the other treatments Julia offers, balances her work as a therapist because she uses both Eastern and Western medical and wellbeing practices.
